Spaces are limited – registration required by April 30, 2025. (max. participation: 40 parents, 20 youth ages 10-18). Prizes will be drawn, and refreshments will be provided.
Youth Event (youth ages 10-18):
Led by the Joe Wedlock, from Youth Gambling Awareness Program (YGAP), the youth space will include hands-on activities (gaming, art, movement, music) all focused on “Healthy Ways to Spend My Time”, plus a chance to win a prize for completing all stations.
While youth participate in engaging wellness-based activities (ages 10–18), parents and guardians will attend:
Film Screening: Screenagers – Under the Influence (50 minutes). This powerful documentary explores the science behind teen decision-making and the real-world impact of substances like cannabis, alcohol, and vaping.
Keynote: Randell Adjei, Ontario’s First Poet Laureate (45 minutes). Randell will inspire with spoken word and reflections on mental health, resilience, and how we support young people through their struggles.
